Girls Not Brides is a Uganda Alliance to End Child marriage. It has over 80 member organizations across Uganda working at community, district, regional and national level and CCAYEF is one of them.
Girls Not Brides Uganda is a key partner to the Ugandan government in implementing the National Strategy to End Child marriages and Teenage Pregnancies. Girls Not Brides Uganda is also working with UNICEF, UNFPA, and the Ministry of Gender, Labor and Social Development to carry out a midterm review on the strategy. CCAYEF shares experiences and best practices with the alliance and also participating in various programs; Annual General Meetings, National Girls summit and conferences.
In 2018, CCAYEF attended the global conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 25th -27th June 2018 to build an ever- closer and more effective global partnership, Share knowledge and evidence about what works to address child marriage, celebrate progress to ensure more action and resources and agree on the next steps to achieve our common strategic objectives.
